I am grateful for: the ability to surrender

My self-given mantra this summer has been “trust the unfolding of life.” Which really means, “surrender.” Surrender to what is happening for me, surrender to the unknown, surrender to the unanswered questions, surrender to not having everything figured out and simply trust. Trust that everything will turn out exactly as it should. .... If we change our mindsets from a state of fear, to a state of trust, we are able to be genuinely excited to watch how our life unfolds. To watch how our previous pains and hardships eventually turn into deep love and blessings. To watch how challenges and obstacles become doors to new opportunities and possibilities. .... Of course, we must continue to be proactive about our lives and reaching our goals, but instead of trying to control the outcome, we just let it be. We surrender, we trust, we let go, and simply live without expectations. .... After adopting this mantra for myself, I told a friend about it (thanks Emily Seung) and she recommended a book to me called “The Surrender Experiment” by one of my favorite authors, Michael Singer. As I read this book, I am continuing my journey and intentionally committing to this experiment of surrendering and trusting the unfolding of life. I encourage you to join me because in the end, life is one big experiment so lets just let go and enjoy the rideeeeee
