How often does the fear of what could go wrong stop us from taking risks or doing something we’ve always wanted to try? How often do we take life too seriously and set such high expectations for ourselves, that when we “fall”, we forget to just laugh? .... Fear of failure and the fear of imperfection are created by our thoughts. These thoughts then create stories in our head that we become so attached to, we mistake them as reality. These fear-based thoughts usually inhibit us from stepping outside of our comfort zone to eventually reach our full potential. .... We forget that life is supposed to be fun. Of course, at times life can be hard, but it shouldn’t be taken too seriously because it’s all trial and error. We get so attached to perfection and controlling situations, that often times not knowing the outcome stops us from trying it in the first place. .... It takes a great amount of awareness to actually identify the stories we create and recognize that they are not real. Rewriting our narrative is necessary for us to grow and start moving past our limiting beliefs. .... So I ask myself, where do I get stuck in the fear of what could go wrong? Where do I stop myself from trying something new or taking risks because of the false story that my thoughts create? Where can I actively and intentionally rewrite my script? I encourage us all to make the choice to change our story, take more risks, go outside of our comfort zone, let go of controlling outcomes, and be unafraid to make mistakes, because in the end, what is the worst that could happen? We fall, laugh at ourself, pick ourself back up and try again. Life is trial and error- so let’s do our best to enjoy and not take it too seriously
