I am grateful for: following what lights me up

Follow what lights you up.
This phrase has served as my inner compass, my guidepost, my north star, my lighthouse, my home base.
It is what I continuously come back to as I navigate major life transitions, countless decisions, foundational changes, periods of newness, and exciting but big opportunities for exploration. This phrase is where I return when I simply “don’t know.”
It is what I choose to follow towards the “right” direction down my own path. It reminds me to let go of the conditioning that no longer works for me in order to stay true to myself as I ride the wave of life and allow my journey to unfold.
We all face forks in the road at some point or another. We all have decisions to make no matter how big or small. We all face our own manifestations of unknowns, question marks, feelings of stuck-ness and stagnation, discomfort of the space between, and the “there has to be more to life” moments that catalyze us to make a shift, a change, a transformation.
Often when we are faced with these moments, we are unsure how to move forward. The mind is clouded with fears and false stories of “what ifs” that can leave us paralyzed and completely disconnected from ourselves, our truth, our desires and our inner knowing.
But if we learn to trust ourselves. Trust our gut. Learn how to tune into our body to FEEL what lights us up inside- what excites us, what makes us say FUCK YES, what fills us with energy, what gives us joy, what makes us excited to wake up the next morning, what sparks our inner fire- we will never be led wrong.
Because if we all follow what lights us up- we can all step into our full potential in our own unique way. We can be of the most value to ourselves and those around us if we do more of what give us energy and more of what sparks our excitement to truly live life.
This spark is contagious.
And if you allow that feeling of “fuck yeah” to guide your next decision and be open to the path it leads you down- it may just surprise you.
I know mine has so far
