Finding Freedom

As passover is just setting in, I thought a lot about the story of passover and how it relates to my life in the current moment. The questions that came up for me were:

- What does freedom look like to me? - Where in my life am I a slave to my own thoughts, limiting beliefs, stories, and the things I feel like I “have to” or “should be” doing? - Where can I “set myself free” and what would that look like for me?

I took the day to sit with these questions and as the sun begins to set, it dawned on me:

I am a slave to this illusion that there is not enough time.

I am in this state of imprisonment that there is not enough time “for it all.”

So I need to be everywhere at once to avoid “missing out.” But this only takes me away from presence. From the belief that everything happens in the exact right timing and in the exact right moment. And that we are exactly where we are meant to be in our journey.

Being a slave to this illusion creates a sense of lack that takes me away from a true gift I have- which is the ability to trust the unfolding of life to allow for opportunities to come in.

It’s happened many times before. When I am in a place of trust- I separate from the imprisonment of my ego, negative thinking, reactive behavior and “miracles” happen in the manifestation of unexpected, but completely aligned, opportunities.

When I set myself free from the illusion of needing to control where/how I am, I set myself free from a state of perpetual stress, anxiety, fear and lack- lack of love, connection, financial resources and joy.

And just like Moses confronted Pharaoh to “let his people go,” we all have the choice to confront our ego, our limiting beliefs, our negativity and our reactive behavior that is holding us back and keeping us enslaved.

In every moment we have the choice. To choose freedom. To choose ourselves. To choose our true essence, our Light. To deepen and expand our ability to love, connect and add value to one another’s lives. So just like the parting of the Red Sea, miracles can happen for us too.
